Liberate Auto-Apply — Privacy Policy

Liberate Auto-Apply is a browser extension that fills in job-application forms on supported career sites using a profile you provide. This policy explains exactly what it does and does not do with your information.

What the extension stores

• Your application profile (name, contact details, work history, résumé text, and answers you choose to save) — stored locally on your own device using the browser's extension storage.
• A short activity log of which form fields were filled, kept locally so the companion app can show you what happened.

What the extension does NOT do

• It does not send your profile, résumé, or any personal data to us or to any third-party server. There is no Liberate backend that receives your data.
• It does not read your browsing history, cookies, passwords, or pages outside the supported career sites listed in its permissions.
• It does not log in for you, submit applications for you, accept agreements, or solve CAPTCHAs. It stops at those steps for you to complete.
• It does not sell, share, or transmit your data for advertising or any other purpose.

How your data moves

Your profile is created in the Liberate / Liberate web app and passed to the extension over a direct, in-browser message channel (the extension's externally_connectable bridge), only on the app's own pages. It stays on your device. If you enable cloud sync in the web app, that is a feature of the app (not the extension) and is governed by the app's own settings; the extension itself performs no network transmission of your data.

Permissions and why they are needed

• Host access to specific career sites (Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS, Taleo, SmartRecruiters, Ashby, Oracle, SuccessFactors): to read and fill the application form fields on those pages.
• storage: to keep your profile on your device.
• activeTab / scripting: to fill the form on the tab you are actively applying from.
• tabs: to coordinate the fill with the companion app and report status back to it.

Your control

You can clear all stored data at any time by removing the extension, or by using the "sign out / clear data" control in the companion web app. Uninstalling the extension deletes its local storage.

Data collection summary

The data described above (your profile details and résumé) is collected only on your device to fill job-application forms you open. We do not sell your personal information, do not share it with third parties, and do not use it for advertising, credit, or lending decisions.
