What each pipeline stage means
- Applied
- Application submitted to the company. Waiting on a recruiter or hiring manager reply.
- In Progress
- Application form opened in the ATS but not yet submitted. Often a saved draft mid-way through long questionnaires.
- Link Ready
- Apply URL captured and portal account confirmed. Ready to start the application form in one click.
- Package Ready
- Resume and cover letter tailored to the role and saved in the application folder. Ready to upload.
- Lead
- Posting identified as a strong fit and queued for action. No package built yet.
- Phone Screen
- First conversation scheduled or completed, typically a recruiter intro or HR call.
- Interview
- Formal interview stage with the hiring manager or panel. Technical, behavioral, or onsite rounds.
- Offer
- Written or verbal offer extended. Open for negotiation, acceptance, or decline.
- Skipped
- Reviewed and intentionally not pursued. Wrong fit, salary mismatch, location issue, or role closed.
